daisy
This short romance film set in 1960 at Sydney’s Cabramatta Dance Hall is inspired by the night writer/director Jeneffa’s parents first met. The film follows Libero, a fresh-off-the-boat immigrant with a daisy in his pocket and a dream in his heart, who catches the eye of Daisy. As anti-immigration sentiment rises around them, the pair must find the courage to pursue love and possibility in a country still deciding who it will embrace.
